Basic Food Employment & Training Services
We provide training and education with a goal of assisting Basic Food recipients in attaining a living wage career.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this voluntary program, clients must receive Basic Food Assistance from DSHS and participate in the requirements of an Individual Employment Plan related to job search goals, which includes 12 job searches per month and submitting a job log to Airport Jobs staff.
Services offered to eligible BFET clients include:
- Weekly list of current job openings at the airport emailed to you
- Notice of all hiring and recruiter events
- Learn about free Airport University classes held at Sea-Tac Airport, such as: Customer Service, Hospitality & Tourism, Criminal Justice, Leadership & Supervision, or Business Information Technology
- Career Navigator Assistance, including resume preparation, interview preparation, and Jobscan services to get your resume past resume robots
- Receive a free Participant Package for eligible jobseekers. This will include over $200 worth of grooming and personal hygiene products, including laundry detergent, shampoo, razors, feminine hygiene products, nail clippers, and soap.
